Casting is the manufacturing process where the molten metal is poured into a mold and allowed to cool and solidify. The solidified part is also known as casting, which is ejected or broken out of the mold to complete the process.

Casting is economical as compare to other processes also have freedom to form complicated components hence it is most often used for making complex shapes.

In investment casting process wax pattern is coated with refractory ceramic material and ceramic material is hardened its internal geometry which takes the shape of the casting after that wax is melted out and molten metal is poured in the cavity.

Investment casting used thousands of years back. It was used for idols, ornaments and jewelry, using natural beeswax for patterns, clay for the moulds and manually-operated bellows for stoking furnaces.

All the ferrous and non-ferrous materials can be poured as an investment cast.

Benefits Of Investment Castings:

There are so many benefits of investment castings and some of them are listed below,.

  • Low initial tooling costs
  • Elimination of material waste
  • Design flexibility and capability
  • Design enhancements
  • Accurate and Consistency
  • Close Tolerances
  • Surface Finish Improvement
  • Amortization Lowers Tooling Cost
  • Better for the Environment

Tools used in Investment castings

Lost wax injection tooling is a very important key element which makes investment casting the unique foundry process. Injection dies are used in high pressure molten wax presses to produce dimensionally accurate, high grade solid wax patterns, which form the basis for the next critical step of ceramic mold building, so we manufacture ease for design maximum efficiency, and durability all types of waxes at our facility for obtaining desired accurate results
